On Friday, March 26, 1999, Doug made it to the big screen! Doug's First Movie was released. See Doug's First Movie for the details. Interesting side note - I notice from a video we got last fall that this movie was originally announced by Disney as being released only on video.

Watch for the music video "Killer Tofu" by The Beets, available on a Nickelodeon Home Video - then let me know which one it is!

Also, watch for the Doug interactive cartoon, coming to an advanced video gaming machine near you.

Did anyone know that, for a while at least, at the Disney / MGM Studio, there was a production called Disney's Doug Live! ? The idea was to follow Doug as he wins tickets to the event of the century - a farewell concert by "The Beets"! The information I have read says that the show was a mixture of live action, animation, and musical numbers, with members of the audience playing the roles of the band. Also during the performance, Doug fantasizes an encounter between [Quailman] and Dr. Rubbersuit. I received an email from one of the creators of Doug Live, who provided the following details: DOUG LIVE was originally conceived as a live stage musical for Viacom, owners of [Nickelodeon] where DOUG began. It was going to be produced at Madison Square Garden in a show similar to the musical version of A Christmas Carol that played there for many years. However, by the time the show got into development, DOUG has been [acquired] by Disney for ABC's Saturday Morning lineup. So, the musical was reworked as a live stage show for WDW's MGM theme park as a replacement for Superstar Television. Unfortunately, I don't know the names of the original cast, but here's who was on the creative team: The show's script was written by DAVID CAMPBELL, JIM JINKINS, JEFFREY LODIN and WILLIAM SQUIER. The show was directed by CLAUD SMITH. The show's music was written by JEFFREY LODIN. And the show's lyrics were written by WILLIAM SQUIER. DOUG LIVE played for a little better than three years, closing June 1, 2002. One of the songs was used in the soundtrack for the film DOUG'S FIRST MOVIE (Someone Like Me) and another opened the International Children's Festival in Paris (21 Jumbo Street). Working on that show a great deal of fun and I hope someday to do it again! All the best, Bill Squier

Anyone able to fill in the blanks for creator, voices, and some of the full names of characters? Also, what about missing episode titles and descriptions?
